COPEKIT Privacy Policy

Effective Date: May 17, 2024

 About this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how we, COPEKIT, LLC, collect and use personal information that we collect through the COPEKIT.COM website and any other internet website and applications we provide to our customers and users (collectively, “Services”).  This Policy should be read in conjunction with our Terms of Use, our shipping and return goods policies and other policies and terms made available on our website and Services.

This Privacy Policy describes our current practices as of the effective date written above. We may post a modified copy of this Privacy Policy to our website to reflect modified practices and update the effective date.

We have a separate Privacy Policy that describes, more specifically, our privacy practices with regard to our COPEKIT App.   You may review that policy below, on this same page.

Personal Information We Collect

“Personal Information” means information that may be used to identify an individual user of our Services, including visitors to our website. The Personal Information we collect includes your name, mailing address, billing address, email address, and phone number. We collect this Personal Information by asking you for it, either when you register for an account on our website or place an order on our website. The Personal Information we collect also includes your order history (including past shipping addresses) and information about the contents of your shopping cart on the website.  We may also collect Personal Information about your payment preferences, including your account name (but not your password) to payment services, such as Stripe.

Tracking Information, Including Cookies

Our website uses a variety of tracking tools, such as “cookies,” “tracking pixels,” and “beacons” to allow us to understand which parts of our website you are using at any specific time and to allow us to recognize you when you come back to our website. Some of these are provided by third party vendors. In addition, our computer servers keep a log of various activities performed on our websites by our users and record information about the browsers and devices used to access the website. These logs and tools also allow us to manage and optimize the website by, for example, seeing which pages are visited frequently and how long they are visited and identifying errors on the website that may only affect a portion of our users.

Our website uses Google Analytics, a service which transmits website traffic data to Google servers.  Google Analytics does not identify individual users or associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.  We use reports provided by Google Analytics to help us understand website traffic and usage.

We also include a tracking pixel from Google that enables you to see our ads when a marketing campaign is running in other sites that support Google ad products and show our products or text to you. With the use of this remarketing feature, information about your browsing behavior is collected for marketing purposes in anonymous form and stored on your computer using cookies.

Similarly, we include a Facebook pixel and if we are running advertising with Facebook, it may use collected product data from that pixel to remarket those products to you on Facebook.

Sales and Other Disclosures of Personal Information

We do not sell Personal Information to third parties.

Personal Information may sometimes be made available to our vendors and contractors in order for them to provide services to us. For example, we will provide Personal Information to our payment vendors to process your payments. When those vendors and contractors have access to personal information, we require the vendors and contractors to protect that personal information and not to use it, except to provide products and services to us and for purposes consistent with our use of Personal Information outlined below.  If you separately obtain an account with a vendor, however, then you are subject to the privacy policy of that vendor.

We may also provide Personal Information under the following circumstances:

  • To law enforcement agencies in connection with reports and investigations into possible illegal activity

  • To comply with a legally valid subpoena or other disclosure requirement imposed by law

  • If we believe your actions are inconsistent with our Terms of Use or policies, if we believe you have violated the law, or to protect our or others’ rights, property, and safety

  • If our business is ever sold, the acquiring company will receive any Personal Information that we have in our possession at the time

  • Where you consent to the sharing of your Personal Information.  For example, you may choose to share actions you take on our website with third-party social media services via the integrated tools we provide via our website.

Our use of Personal Information

We use Personal Information to fulfill orders, interact with our customers regarding their orders, respond to customer inquiries, and notify customers about product recalls. In addition, we will use Personal Information in marketing communications to those of our customers who have opted-in to receiving those messages. If you submit a review of a product through our Services, that review may be posted to the website, along with your first name and state.

In addition, we may aggregate Personal Information to discover trends in our sales data, to help set our prices and inventory, to help determine which products to carry, to optimize the user experience on our website and for other internal purposes.  Aggregate Personal Information does not contain information about individuals.

Finally, we may use Personal Information to detect fraud and illegal activities on our site and may report the same to law enforcement.

Marketing Preferences

If you have an account on our website, you may change your preferences regarding marketing communications associated with such account by emailing us at support@copekit.com and requesting to unsubscribe from marketing communications.  In addition, our marketing emails each contain an “unsubscribe” link at the bottom which may be used to manage these preferences.  Note that changes in these preferences may not be immediately effective as it can take time for them to propagate through our computer systems.

Your changes to your marking preferences will not affect communications with you regarding your customer service inquiries, complaints, recalls, or your submitted reviews. Further, these marketing preferences will not affect whether you continue to see our advertisements on other websites.

Payment Card Information

We treat payment card information that you provide to us in accordance with data security standards adopted by the payment card industry. In particular, your payment card information, and other order information, is encrypted between your computer and our servers.
